Custom Modules

You Should Know: Custom modules are currently in beta and require integration with the Backstage team. SDK documentation and public availablility is coming soon.

Want to do something we haven't thought of? You can write Custom Modules to extend the functionality of the Backstage engine. By using our React SDK, you can tie into the Backstage subsystems like Flows, Animations, Shows, and everything else.

Expose properties to your content team by adding values to the Page Editor sidebar. By adding a property through the SDK it automatically becomes available to the Page Editor so your content team can tweak settings and rapidly itterate without back and forth with the development team.
